Genetic Polymorphism of C1R in Chinese

Rie SUSUKlDA, Akira KlDO, and Masakazu 0YA

Abstract: Polymorphism of C1R was investigrated in 216 unrelated Chinese individuals using isoelectric focusing and immunoblotting. Six phenotypes associated with three common alleles C1R*1, C1R*2 and C1R*5 were observed and no variant type was found. The allele frequencies were C1R*1 = 0.5463, C1R*2 = 0.3565 and C1R*5 = 0.0972. The population data conformed to the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The C1R polymorphism in Chinese was shown to be controlled by three common alleles, C1R*1, C1R*2 and C1R*5.

Key words: Polymorphism, C1R, Isoelectric focusing, Chinese population
