＜総説＞ヒト住血吸虫症
―臨床と予防―

抄　録：本邦では日本住血吸虫症（山梨県では「地方病」と呼ばれる）の新しい感染は根絶された。しかし世界的にはヒト住虫吸虫の感染者は増加している。本総説は3種のヒト住血吸虫症（日本住血吸虫症，マンソン住血吸虫症，ビルハルツ住血吸虫症）の分布と住血吸虫の生活史，病理と症状，診断，治療，予後，予防についてまとめた。

Human Schistosomiasis
- Clinical Aspects and Prophylaxis -

Newly-infected cases of schistosomiasis japonica, which is called "chihobyo" (i.e. "the" endemic disease) in Yamanashi Prefecture, have not been found in Japan recently. However, the world prevalence of human schistosomiasis is now increasing. This review article deals with the distribution and the life cycle, the pathology and the symptoms, the diagnosis, the treatment, the prognosis, and the prophylaxis of three human schistosomiasis, namely s. japaonica, s. mansoni and s. haematobia.
