Immunology of Langerhans Cells

Abstract: Langerhans cells (LC) are antigen-presenting cells residing in the epidermis of the skin. These cells show characteristic dendritic features and are continually repopulated by precursor cells originating in bone marrow. In this review, we will discuss about the characteristics of these cells.
