＜総説＞子宮内膜癌：その疫学的背景についての文献的考察

抄　録：従来，子宮内膜癌は日本人には少ない疾患とされてきた。しかし，近年，わが国では子宮内膜癌の増加傾向が注目されている。その実態を知るため，日本における子宮内膜癌の発生頻度の推移を文献的に調査し，同時に多発地城である欧米との比較により，本症発生に対する危険因子について検討を加えた。その結果，日本での子宮内膜癌の発生率はまだ欧米に比し低頻度であるものの，その年次増加は顕著であり，近い将来には子宮頚癌に代って最重要な婦人科癌となると予想される。また危険因子に関する疫学的解析の結果には，日本と欧米の間に若干の異なりがあることが示された。

Epidemiology of Endometrial Cancer

We reviewed the literature on the incidence of endometrial cancer and its risk factors; the incidence of endometrial cancer varies widely among countries, tending to higher in western countries and lower in countries of Asia and Africa including Japan, but an overall increase in the last two decades was noted. An especially striking increase in Japan suggests that endometrial cancer will become the commonest gynecological cancer in Japan in the near future.
