本栖湖中に９年間沈んでいた死ろう化死体

　本栖湖底に沈んでいた車の中に女性死体が発見された。死体は死ろう化形成が完成された状態にあった。車のナンバープレートから死者は９年前に行方不明になっていた41歳の主婦であろうと疑われた。死者の歯の所見が歯科医によって保存された診療録およびレントゲン写真の所見と基本的に一致した。司法解剖によっても死因を明らかにすることができなかった。死者は車ごと湖へ乗り入れ自殺したものと考えられた。

An Adipocerous Body Which Had Been Submerged in the Lake Motosu for
9 Years

A female dead body was found inside an automobile submerged at the bottom of the Lake Motosu. It was in an advanced state of adipocere formation. From the number plate of the car the victim was suspected to be a 41-year-old housewife who had disappeared 9 years ago. The dental findings of the victim principally coincided with the findings of her early dental records and radiographs kept by a dental surgeon. Medicolegal autopsy failed to disclose the cause of death. The victim was considered to have committed suicide by driving the car into the Lake.
