嘘の発生とその展開

　本論文は，渋谷らの報告1)に関連し，嘘の発生とその展開について論及した。子どもはいつから嘘をつくようになるのか，なぜ嘘をつくのか，その嘘にはどのような意味があるのか。これらの問題について，青少年および大人の嘘も含めて考察した。
　子どもはかなり早い時期から嘘をつくようになると予測される。子どもは親に対して秘密を持ったり，嘘をついたりすることで，親の束縛から解放されると言える。子どもの嘘は自己の確立や社会化と密接な関係があると考えられる。
　親は子どもに初めて嘘をつかれたとき，当惑したり，怒りを感じたりする。しかし，子どもは嘘という形をとって，様々な心理的な問題を訴えることがある。私たちは子どもの嘘の善悪をよくみきわめて，できるだけ寛大に対処する必要があるだろう。

Emergence and Evolution of Lie

　The emergnce and evolution of children's lies were studied referring to the report of Shibuya & Shibuya. From when do children begin to tell lies? Why do they tell lies? What is meant by such lies? These problems including the attitudes of juveniles and adults were discussed in this paper.
　It is expected that children begin to tell lies from the considerably early stage of development. Children harbor secrets from their parents and tell lies to them. These conducts may be interpreted as representing the feeling of liberation from parental restraints. Children's lies seem closely related to the establishment of ego and socialization.
　Parents feel perplexed or angry when betrayed for the first time by their children's lies. However, children may often express their various psychological troubles in the form of lies. Parents should discern the true nature of their children's lies and deal with them as magnanimously as possible.
