新カリキュラムにおける精神看護学実習の内容と
方法に関する調査

本年改正された看護教育カリキュラムにおける精神看護学実習の教育内容や方法を把握し,今後の教育の方向性の示唆を得ることを目的とした。
対象は養成施設名簿に掲載されている学校624校である。調査用紙を郵送し,3年課程看護学校198校,2年課程看護学校7校,3年課程短期大学29校,2年課程短期大学6校,看護系大学28校の計273校より回答を得た。
その結果,精神看護学実習の専任教員がいる学校は53.1%であり,教員のいる学校は毎日臨床へ実習指導に行く予定であり,地域での実習を計画している学校が多いことが明らかになった。これらのことから,教育内容の充実をはかるために精神看護学の専任教員の育成をはかることが急務であることが明らかになった。また,地域での実習場を活用しきれない精神医療の現状が推察され,地域医療の充実とともに毎日臨床へ出向けるような教育体制作りが必要であることが示唆された。

A Survey of the Content and Methods of Mental Health Nursing
Science Practice under the Revised Curriculum

The survey was aimed at understanding educational content and methods of mental health nursing science practice under the nursing education curriculum that was revised this year, and gaining insight on future trends in education.
The survey targets were chosen from the nurse training school list. Surveys were sent to624schools, and responses were received from a total of273―198nursing schools with three-year curriculums, seven schools with two-year curriculums, 29colleges with three-year curriculums, six colleges with two-year curriculums, and 28 universities of nursing science.
The results showed that 53.1% of the schools have full-time instructors in mental health nursing science practice. Their programs include daily visits to clinical settings. This indicates that many schools develop their own practicum programs locally. Therefore, our most urgent task is to develop full-time teachers for mental health nursing science. Given the present state of mental health care, it seems that such local practicum plans could be implemented at all schools.
This suggests the need to establish an educational system that allows teachers to spend part of every day in a clinical setting, which would not only improve education but also enhance local medical care.
