ベルギーの看護からの学び
―高齢者ケア・訪問看護・フアミリーケアから―

　高齢化社会・保健医療・看護・在宅ケア等の言葉や実態に関する情報は，日常生活の中でほぼ毎日聞かれ，その望ましい傾向もその逆も，各々が関心を持たざるをえない状況にある。これらに深く係わりを持ち，その実際の一端を担う看護職は，常にそのシステムや現場が望ましくあることをねがっている。管見ではあるが，ベルギーの看護の現場に見られる対象者の自然さ，自由さ，独立性，そして看護ケアの個別性等についてふれ，私達の看護を振り返る。

What I learned from Belgian Nursing

Everyday we are bombarded with such terms 'aging of society', 'health care', 'visiting nursing service' and information about them. As a result all of us are forced to cnosider all aspects of these issues, both those that are ideal and those that are not. The nursing profession, which has strong connections to all these areas and supports them, has high expectations for the improvement of the system and the development of an ideal situationinthefuture.
Of course it is only my personal view, but having experienced the Belgian way personally, I found it provided patients with freedom of choice, promoted individuality in nursing care and placed emphasis on the need for patients to lead a natural, independent life. I am now reappraising Japanese nursing.
