日本の初期看護教育にＦ ．ナイチンゲールが与えた影響
−使用されたテキストと卒業生の看護書から−

　本研究は，日本の初期看護教育に使用されたテキストと卒業生の看護書からＦ．ナイチンゲールが日本の看護教育に与えた影響について明らかにすることを目的とした。
看護教育に使用されたテキスト『ハンドブック・オブ・ナーシング』と平野鐙著『看病の心得』，笹岡とよ子著『看病法』の3 冊をもとに分析・検討した。その結果は以下のように要約される。
ナイチンゲールが『ノーツ・オン・ナーシング』の中で述べている看護の視点と一致することが多くみられた。それは，看護の本質として病人を中心にすえ，病人を中心に環境を整えることに主眼がおかれていた。日本の看護教育が開始された時点から，ナイチンゲールの看護の思想が有形，無形に日本の看護教育に大きな影響を与えていたことが検証された。

The Influence of F. Nightingale on the Early Stages of Nursing Education in Japan
−As Seen in Textbooks and the Writings of Nursing Graduates −

The purpose of this study was to clarify the influence F. Nightingale had on nursing education in Japan by looking at the textbooks used in the early stages of nursing education in Japan and the writings of nursing alumni. We analyzed three textbooks for our study ：
"A Handbook of Nursing", "Kanbyo no Kokoroe" by To Hirano, and "Kanbyoho" by Toyo Sasaoka.
The results are summarized as follows ：The view of nursing found in the Japanese textbooks was found largely to match what Nightingale wrote in "Notes on Nursing". This view was that the patient was central to the essence of nursing and the main point of nursing was to produce an environment with the patient foremost in mind.
Our study verified that Nightingale's ideas on nursing had a big influence, both tangible and intangible,on nursing education in Japan from the very beginning.
