看護学生の排泄に関する意識と排便習慣に関する研究

　看護学生の排泄に対する意識と排泄習慣及び便秘傾向とその対策を明らかにし，健康的な生活を送るための指導に役立てることを目的とした。健康な看護大学女子学生 93 名を対象に，日本語版 CAS （LT 版）に質問項目を追加し調査を行った。その結果，看護学生の CAS 得点は高齢者より高く，便秘傾向が強かった。また，排便頻度が低い者と便秘を自覚している者，便秘解消の方法を｢知りたい｣，｢試したい｣と回答した者の CAS 平均値は高かった（p<.001, p<.001, p<.01, p<.001）。排泄の意義の内容分析では｢身体的意義｣ 69.8％，｢精神的意義｣ 11.1％，｢社会的意義｣ 6.2％であった。便秘対策は｢食事｣ 75.4％，｢腹部マッサージ｣ 9.5％であった。このことから，①学生は排泄の重要性を認識して対処しているが，高齢者よりも便秘傾向が強い。②学生は自己の排泄状態によって，排泄の援助に対する興味の強さが異なる。③排泄に対する興味や，便秘の対処行動の獲得が，患者の排泄援助にも活用できることに気づかせることが必要である。

Awareness of Student Nurses' Excretion and Study of Their Defecation Habits

　This study focus on student nurses understanding of excretion, their excretory habits, irregularities and efforts to relieve constipation, and aims to help them lead healthier lives. The survey targeted 93 healthy students in a nursing university using the Japanese Constipation Assessment Scale (CAS) (Long Term version) including questions. The results showed that the students CAS points were higher than those of elderly persons. And they showed a stronger tendency toward constipation. The students whose defecation frequency was lower, those who recognized constipation on their own, and others who answered that they want to know or want to try a method to relieve constipation, have higher average CAS points (p ＜ .001, p ＜ .001, p ＜ .01 and p ＜ .001). Analyzing their awareness of excretion, 69.8% responded physically, 11.1% mentally, and 6.2% with social independence. As for measures to relieve constipation, 70.1% ate meals for bowel movements and 11.6% tried abdominal massage. The survey results indicate that the students suffer from constipation more frequently than elderly people, though they recognize the importance of excretion and take measures to ensure regular defecation. Their interests differ according to their own excretory habits. It may be concluded that the students should realize that their interest in excretion and dealing successfully with their own constipation will help them treat patients effectively with the problems.
