小児看護学実習における学生の学習状況
―重症心身障害児の援助を中心に―

 今回は,重症心身障害児(以下,重障児と略称)を対象として小児看護を実習した学生の学習成果について検討した。以下のことが明らかになった。1重症児の基本的な日常生活の援助について,ほぼ全学生が体験できていたが,経管栄養,吸入,吸引等の医療技術に関する体験が少なかった。実習前,重症児に対する偏見を強く,消極的に接している学生が多かったが,実習終了時には,児に対する偏見が少なく,愛着心を抱くまでに変化していた。3学生一人ひとりがこれまでもっていた人間観,発達観,看護観等を発展させ,自己成長を図ることができていた。

Learning Environment of Student Nurses of Studying Child Nursing Science
- Focusing on Care of Children with SMI-DS -

  This study examined the learning outcome of student nurses who studied the practice nursing for children with severe motor and intellectual disabilities (SMI-DS). The following results were clarified:
1. Almost all students experienced supporting children with SMI-DS in their basic daily lives. However, they had little experience in medical technologies such as tube feeding, inhalation, aspiration, etc.
2. The students had strong prejudice against children with SMI-DS before practice, and many of them reacted negatively in their initial contacts with the children. However, after practice, their prejudice against the children decreased, and they developed feeling of commitment to them.
3. The students could develop their views of humanity, improvement, and nursing, leading to self-improvement.
