旧約聖書の生命観

旧約聖書は古代世界における代表的宗教民族の一つであるイスラエル人の歴史・文学・信仰の結晶である。本稿はこの旧約聖書のうちに見られる生命観の特徴を、その民族の歩みと信仰に関わらせながら探り、それがやがていかなる点で一民族をこえて全人類への遺産となりえたか、また今後もなりうるかを、できるだけ聖書本文に即して考察しようとするものである。

The Old Testament views of life

The Old Testament is a condensed document of the history, literature and theology of the people of Israel, who occupied a representative position among the so-called religious races in the ancient world. This article tries to discuss, from various passages of the Old Testament, the distinctive features of their views of life, in constant reference to their history and their faith ; and then tries to find out, with the utmost care to keep in close touch with the text, in what point was it possible and hereafter will it be able for their views of life to become the heritage not only for one race, but for the whole mankind in the world of tomorrow.
