ヒポクラテスの「誓い」を読む（３）
―「誓い 」の共同体―

　本稿では、西洋古代世界に見られる医療共同体のいくつかを対比させながら、ヒポクラテスの「誓い」が採用された共同体がいかなるものかを想定し、そこに見られるいくつかの特徴を考察した。特にそこに見られるいわゆる「家父長的性格」について、それ自体の分析を行うとともに、わが国における類似の形態についても言及し、将来の進路を考えるための一助とした。

The Hippocratic Oath was written to encompass the various forms of medical groups in the Graeco-Roman world. In this essay, I examine some characteristic elements in the medical community by elucidating some of the remarkable points they held in common. Because the Oath particularly considers the "patriarchal element among fellow professionals" it is relevant to the Japanese society.
